Point of View Mini Lesson
This mini lesson will help your students learn how to identify and understand the three types of point of view. In addition, students will practice applying what they know to determine the point of view in different examples.
This Product Includes:
Google Slides Presentation: 19 colorful and engaging slides that introduce point of view.
Notes: Defines and explains 1st person, 2nd person, and third person point of view. Definitions and explanations are included for 3rd person limited, objective, and omniscient.
Vocabulary Practice: Practice the terms with a Quizizz. Link and instructions included.
Instructional Video: Video where I walk students through the slides and help them gain an understanding of each type of point of view.
Knowledge Check Activities: Students will read six examples and determine the point of view of each one by picking out keywords used by the author.

Point of View: The Quest Activity Pack
Point of View Quests
These quests are an engaging and creative way to help your students practice and apply their knowledge of the three types of irony.
The Quests:
Quest 1: Part One- Students determine the point of view in three paragraphs. Part Two-Students take one of the paragraphs and rewrite it using a different point of view.
Quest 2: Part One- Students determine the point of view in three excerpts. Part Two-Students write about the impact of using each type of point of view.
Quest 3: Students are provided four pictures. For each picture, students write a sentence in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person point of view that describes what is happening in the picture.
Quest 4- Part One- Students watch a clip from The Hunger Games and make notes about the characters actions. Part Two- Students use the notes to write about the clip using 1st person and 3rd person point of view.
Quest 5: Part One- Students will determine the type of 3rd person narration used (limited, objective, or omniscient) in three paragraphs. Part Two- Students are given a prompt and finish the story using a third person narration of their choice.
